Vineyard Manager, Celestino Castañeda, has been with the Shannons for more than 12 years. He started as a member of their vineyard team, and now manages all of Shannon Ridge's vineyards.

Celestino is completely dedicated to his crew and the vineyards in his care. While walking through the property with him, one immediately recognizes that Celestino intimately knows and meticulously monitors each vine. He understands that every plant is uniquely individual, and that its distinct personality and needs have to be independently met. Year-to-year, Celestino and his crew adjust every vine for its particular root system, its soil composition, and the current weather conditions.

For the Shannon Ridge vineyard team, no detail is too small. Artisan, handcrafted wines begin in the vineyards, and Celestino and his crew tenderly nurture each plant to that end. Together, they help Shannon Ridge produce small lots of concentrated fruit that is intensely reflective of both their varietal character and the terroir’s craggy mountain ridges where the vines grow.

Luis Fajardo is the Vineyard Manager for the Vigilance Vineyards and Falconer Vineyards, both entities of Shannon Ridge Inc. With over 20 years of experience, Luis started in the Napa Valley area for John Caldwell and then was transferred to the Quail Run Vineyards in Talon, Oregon for 7 years. He then returned to the Napa Valley area as Vineyard Manager for Jack Neil and Sons. "We are now very lucky to have his expertise and wealth of knowledge for our vineyards.
